Exactly, Andrew. The Tories since the Heath/Barbour shambles of 1970 onwards have shown that they can't manage our economy. Every time they get in unemployed rockets up, as does inflation and numerous other social ills. They are idelogically obssessed with outdated dogmas about the so called 'free market'.

Osbourne and Cameron opposed the bailout of the banks which could have seen our whole economy collapse! As Osbourne rightly says, the Tories, if they do win, will be the most unpopular government in history inside 4 months.

That's a bit rich, given the state of the country after your 12 years in government.

Accountancy isn't my strong point, to borrow a phrase, but you seem to have driven the UK onto the rocks. He may have been to public school and have had a privileged upbringing, some would argue a bit of intelligence and an understanding of money and business is what is needed now. If he can stop the ship sinking he's more than welcome. I don't consider dithering over the position of the deckchairs, whilst claiming to be saving the world a viable alternative.

Driven the UK onto the rocks? Maybe you weren't alive during a Tory Government, but I was. Unemployment is a Conservative trademark, they took a do-nothing approach to the last recession and are proposing the same again.
