Back him or sack him

The Caring Conservatism mask seems to have slipped again to reveal the true distorted face of the Tory Party.

Tory rising star Dan Hannan MEP - the 'internet sensation' went on that paragon of fair and balanced reporting Fox News to warn America against having a healthcare system based on need and not ability to pay, saying our NHS was a '60 year mistake.' (Thanks to Northern Monkey on Labourhome for the tip.)

Take a look at what Hannan says.

So he says:

"We've lived through this mistake; we've lived through this mistake for 60 years now... the reality is it hasn't worked. It's made people iller.

"We spend a lot of money and we get very bad results, you look at survival rates for cancer or for heart disease we are well down on all the leagues. We have very few Doctors.

"We disincentivise people from practising medicine in this country. A lot of our best and brightest Doctors emigrate. A lot of them go to North America because there's no market."

So I'm now calling on David Cameron to tell us exactly where he stands on Hannan's comments.

Does he agree with Hannan that free healthcare is a 'terrible mistake?'

You might dismiss him as a crank but you'd be wrong.

Hannan is the Tory's number one Euro candidate in the South East on June 4th. He left the EPP centre right grouping in Europe after likening the German President of the European Parliament to Hitler - and the Tories followed him!

So make your mind up, Cameron. No dithering.

Do you back him or sack him?

Here's my vlog message on the Labourhome website.

Here's the transcript of what I said:

“Here I am outside the Department of Health. It signifies to the British people the greatest creation – a health service based upon need and not your ability to pay.  But now I hear this man Dan Hannan, who is a Conservative Member of the European Parliament and istanding for re-election in the next couple of months, tell us the NHS is a ‘failure.’

Now I know he might be a hero in America for the Republican Party, a country that’s just had a health service proposal rejected. America wants to move to the British system.

So let Mr Cameron now make it clear to the country in our coming elections that Hannan does not represent the Conservative point of view or otherwise we’ll see that this is another slipping of the mask of the Tory Party.

Reject this man. Let him say these things in the European Elections and we’ll know where we stand with the Conservative Party.”

I suppose you could say he's wrong here.

If we look at Stafford, 400-1800 people aren't iller, they are dead because of incompentance in the NHS.

Then there is the hospital in Kent with infections. They are still killing people. My brother's neighbour was killed at Christmas from hospital acquired infection.

Let me see. Tesco's kill 30,000 a year, and the Labour party defends them? I think not.

The NHS kills 30,000 a year from errors and it has to be defended? Something has gone wrong when politicians think this should be defended.

It's time to introduce a proper system like Switzerland. Compulsorary insurance. Separate regulator. Separate insurer. Separate supplier.

The NHS can't regulate itself because dealing with errors is not in its interest

what about all the deaths in private hospitals in america.

And all the deaths of people who don't even get treated.

The NHS is rated much better quality than the American private system according to the WHO.

Wise words.

Britain's healthcare is rated much better than America's healthcare by the World Health Organization.

Dan Hannan's comments on fox news need to be put into an election campaign video for labour, showing the true nastiness and evil of the Tory party.

Tory rising star Egg On Legs Hannan MEP will probably need the NHS if he has lost his hair at such a young age.

What an insult to the International medical staff that consult in the UK.

The reason they dont consult in their own country is because the NHS provides a good remuneration package and conditions of employment far better than any other country for its people.

Uk Medics are leaving because other countries realise the high professional standards they have been educated to and can offer them an enhanced remuneration package.

Tesco's are not treating ill people to my knowledge.
