I'm just putting together Go Fourth's campaign plan for the next few months. I'll be at the Labour regional conferences rallying the troops, starting with Yorkshire and Humber in two weeks time.
Thanks for everyone who suggested what our strategy should be. You can still make suggestions by clicking here.
As you know, Go Fourth campaigned against the RBS £1b bonus payout, to protect the minimum wage from a Tory private members bill and in the European Elections - all funded by small donations. (still a few signed books left!)
We've also helped to pioneer party campaigning on Facebook and Twitter, highlighted Dan Hannan's disgraceful NHS comments, had some fun with the Tories and their posters, inspiring others to make their own versions and use the internet to pass them on. I think they call it crowd sourcing. I call it listening to supporters.
So I'm bloody annoyed to see Will Straw, who helped launch his Labour blog Left Foot Forward by getting donations from Labour donors, give an interview to a right wing newspaper saying Brown and Blair were a "huge disappointment and let down the Labour Party" and that the latter had treated his dad in a "shoddy way."
We know money is tight for campaigning and we have to make all our donations go as far as they can to get our message across.
So I'm furious that donations that could have gone to the party have been used to help someone attack it! I wonder how Left Foot's donors feel about how there money's been used?
In the run up to the election this really doesn't help - especially when Will said he set up the blog to highlight examples of media manipulation "especially from the Mail and the Express."
So my word of advice to Will is the same I gave to Hoon, Hewitt and Clarke before him.
Stop complaining and get campaigning.
And do think first before putting your Left Foot in your mouth again!

Thanks for the advice - it's always appreciated. Just to come back on a few points:
1. As I explained yesterday on Left Foot Forward the remarks you quote were taken out of context. My own contribution to the Hoon/Hewitt episode should have made it plain that I don't regard Gordon Brown as a disappointment.
2. Left Foot Forward is not a Labour blog - it's a progressive blog with contributions from Lib Dem and Green writers. Our donors - some non-Labour - were clear about that when they made their donations. Our funding comes from small donations as well as a few four figure cheques.
3. In any case, for progressive policies including those that you cite to advance, we need a range of institutions on the broad left - including blogs that feel able to criticise the party from time to time. party.
All the best,
Will
So much for your professed idealism or doesn't that come with integrity?
