Where are you Mr Vice President?

I see the feral beasts and their Tory friends are trying to say that Gordon's being snubbed because he may or may not have a press conference with President Obama.

How vain are they? What matters is that Gordon and President Obama get the chance to lay the groundwork for the G20 meeting in April.

What matters is that they continue to work closely to develop an international action plan for that meeting in London.

What matters is that we all work together to reflate the world economy and reform the banking system that got us into this mess.

What doesn't matter is Adam Boulton and the Tory press getting a press conference to throw smart alec questions at Gordon in petty attempts to embarass him in front of Obama. (By the way, have you seen that Sky News advert when Boulton says to Gordon, 'the BBC are waiting to interview you now.' Pathetic.)

Anyway, the visit reminds me of my trip to the White House. Shortly after 9/11, I flew to Washington to offer our support. I was ushered into a room but Vice President Dick Cheney wasn't there. I was told he would speak to me on a video link.

When he face came up on the screen I asked him where he was as it sounded as if he was in a cave or bunker. He replied that he was in a 'secure location.'

So I said: "You must know now what it's like to be Bin Laden?"

I don't think he or our red-socked fop of an ambassador at the time found that very funny.

But I'm glad that since then we've had a positive change for the better in the White House AND the Embassy!

Hi Mr Prescott,
Apparently, the most read information on the White House website is about Mr Obama's (childrens) future dog.
In the interests of getting this blog noticed, are you going to buy a dog? and if so what kind? Did you ever meet Barney Bush, the previous president's dog?

Haway man,
Even you must think that this race to be the first European leader to get a foot in the door of the Obama White house was pretty pathetic.

"this race to be the first European leader to get a foot in the door of the Obama White house was pretty pathetic." - What race? The only people that have ever mentioned any 'race' to see Obama has been the press.

The inevitable swiping out as the old guard are despatched to the political bin of history. Another grossly incompetent, ineffectual, Labour party Lunatics in the throws of death. In the next scene they turn on each other like rabid dogs and then gone forever - Hoorray. Why don't they ever lean - you and your incomeptence, Mr Prestcott, have failed. It's over.
